The Konteka complex opened in 1954 as business accommodations for visitors to the White Pine mine. Now it's busy with snowmobilers. The current energetic owners are attracting more and more Wisconsinites.16 spacious, simple rooms are next to a restaurant, lounge, and bowling alley. There's a whirlpool looking into the woods, and an adjacent sauna. Winter rates for two are $90, summer are $55. WiFi in most rooms, bar, dining room. Breakfast ‘til noon when busy.
