Twin Lakes Resort is on a rolling site on Lake Roland beneath big oaks and maples. The resort has a sandy beach with two fire pits and a modest dock. Aluminum boats are available. Four of the 7 housekeeping cottages have lake views. Two have three bedrooms; the rest have two. All linens except towels are provided. Some rooms have TV (2 channels). You can use the office phone. Cottages date from many eras; some have knotty-pine walls, and one has a rustic log interior. The owner can direct guests to local beauty spots. Reservations of 3 days and more are preferred. $400-$800/week. Not necessary to rent in full-week increments.

On M-26 north of Twin Lakes State Park, North Parkside Dr. on Lake Roland. Open from late May through color season. Call for extended season rentals. Handicap access: call. Call about pets.
