OVERLOOK CAMPGROUND
(906) 492-3415 http://michigan.gov/tahquamenon Reservations: (800) 44-PARKS; http://midnrreservatio
A bit above and away from the Tahquamenon River, this 87-site modern campground with 50 amp and 30 amp service is also close-spaced and mostly shady. It's a quarter-mile walk from the Lower Falls, and thus less likely to fill up than Riverbend Campground. Still, it's wise to reserve ahead for good spots in prime summer times.

Off same drive as the falls. Recreation passport: $10/year for Michigan residents, $8/day, $29/year for others. Pets on 6-foot leash. ADA wheelchair accessible.

RIVERBEND CAMPGROUND
(906) 492-3415. Reserv: (800) 44-PARKS.
This mostly shady, close-spaced modern campground (electricity, showers) is closest to the Lower Falls and its rowboats. Stairs permit river access. It's easy to reach the 4-mile hiking trail between the falls. Being nearer the river means Riverbend fills first; for the most desirable sites in summer and fall, reserve six months ahead, just as the reservation window opens. 10% of sites are non-reservable; Riverbend doesn't fill on most non-holiday weekends.

Entrance off M-123 by the Lower Falls, 12 miles west of Paradise. 50 amp electric sites are $23/night, 30 amp sites $21. Completely ADA handicap accessible.
