LIME ISLAND COTTAGES
(906) 635-5281
The state has developed 2- and 3-bedroom coal workers' cottages into rustic cabins accommodating up to 7. They sit on a bluff overlooking the St. Mary's River, a short walk up from the dock. Each renovated cottage has a knotty pine interior, a custom-made rustic pine table, chairs, and bed platforms, and a wood stove. A solar collector supplies electricity 24/7. Vault toilets; water pump. No showers; bring your own solar shower. Guests should bring a light for evening, cook stove and equipment, bedding, and sleeping bags. Available spring through fall. $65/day.
