Pickford Historical Museum

Energetic local historians have acquired and fixed up a 40' by 100' storefront from 1912. They're working on listing it on the National Register of Historic Places. See pickfordareahistoricalsociety.org. Rotating displays of artifacts are 60% new each year. They may cover dairying, logging, farming, quilts, and churches (Methodist, Presbyterian, and Episcopal). Catholics belong to the parish in Barbeau. An occasional display may feature the area's controversial Orangemen (Ulster Scots) with uniforms. Visitors may make appointments to see the many genealogical documents and restored scrapbooks and photos upstairs.
