Nahma Peninsula Restaurants
Nahma Inn
644-2486
The dining room in the Nahma Hotel is again a restaurant, run by innkeepers Charley and Laurie MacIntosh. Laurie had been an Escanaba-area caterer for decades. They are "incredibly networked," says a friend. Don't be surprised to see a Detroit Red Wing here. Area people and all kinds of visitors are thrilled. The barroom has the mood of a cozy neighborhood tavern from the 1950s. Now there's a patio. Dinner favorites are whitefish ($15) and Saturday prime rib. Chicken on Sunday is under $10. Most Saturdays (and some Fridays) there's live music—bluegrass, guitar, contemporary—and sometimes comedy shows.
