Escanaba Campgrounds

PIONEER TRAIL PARK

Used mainly by overnighters and anglers, this large, modern campground is in a 74-acre park on the Escanaba River's north side at its mouth on Little Bay de Noc. Some find road noise at the campground a disadvantage. 75 sites. Camping fees are around $22 to $24 (with and without water) for the 58 RV sites with electric hookups (50, 30 and 20 amps), and for 36 RV sites with water hook-ups as well (also $22 and $24). 17 tent sites are around $15-17/night. On U.S. 2/41 between Escanaba and Gladstone just north of the Escanaba River. ADA accessible bathhouse, one campsite. Open from early May to mid-October.
