Kleinke Park
This Menominee County park along M-35 has a long, sandy Lake Michigan swimming beach at the mouth of Fowler Creek - a fine place for wading and sand castle projects. Most of the park is in a grove of big pines, with some grassy areas. There are a picnic pavilion, many picnic tables and grills, and a sandy playground. Canoes and small boats can be launched anywhere along the beach. The adjoining 34-site campground (see "Camping") was recently overhauled, with outstanding new facilities.On M-35 15 miles north of Menominee and about 8 miles south of Cedar River. (906) 753-4582.
